A disapointing day in the FA Trophy for the Kents clubs as only Cray are definately through and Sittingbourne and Bromley have replays.
Goals from veteran striker Gary Abbott and Ross Lover saw Cray win 2-1 at Waltham Forest while Sittingbourne drew 0-0 at home to Bath City and a goal from Nic McDonnell saw Bromley draw 1-1 at Tooting & Mitcham United.Folkestone netted through Ellis Remy and Adam Flanagan only to go down 3-2 at home to Billericay Town.Tonbridge were beaten 3-2 at AFC Wimbledon despite efforts from Fraser Logan and John Main.Margate were defeated 1-0 at Gloucester City while Thanet rivals Ramsgate went down 2-0 at AFC Sudbury.Dartford lost 1-0 at home to Evesham United while Maidstone who scored through Simon Austin and Lyndon Rowland lost 3-2 at home to Ashford Town(Middlesex).
Gravesend & Northfleet made the long journey to Morecambe in the Nationwide Conference only to return to Kent with a 1-0 defeat.Welling crashed 4-0 away to Havant & Waterlooville in the Conference South.
Ashford had a superb 2-1 win over Kingstonian in the Ryman First Division.The men from Homelands scored through George Fenwick and Adam O'Neill.Chatham defeated Metropolitan Police 3-0 at Maidstone Road with goals from Darren Smith(2 1pen) and Rob Denness while Dover drew 1-1 at Godalming Town with Craig Wilkins on target.
The Kent League Cup Group A saw VCD win 2-0 at previously unbeaten Hythe with Ashley Probets and Terry Ratchford scoring for the visitors.A single goal from Paul Gross saw Slade Green win 1-0 at Lordswood.
Faversham remain top of Group B as they drew 1-1 with Sevenoaks at Salters Lane with Mark Smith and James Dalton the marksman.Erith & Belvedere played their first match under their new management team and drew 2-2 at home to Deal.The home side netted through Adrian Deane and Steve White while Mark Pollard and Jamie Marriott replied.
Whitstable finished top of Group C after their 1-1 draw with Croydon.A free kick from Stuart King gave the home side the lead only for a last minuite Lee Kirby goal to square the game.
Two goals from Ashley Carew gave Beckenham a 2-1 win over Tunbridge Wells in Group D with the visitors scoring thanks to Andy Garrett.Thamesmead took the lead through John-Paul Collier away to Erith only for the visitors to hit back and win 2-1 with Wayne Grizzle and Richard Usherwood scoring,
