![]() Marc Seager Marc said: ?I am delighted to have won the manager of the month award as it?s recognition not only of the hard work that myself and my management team put in over the month but more importantly the players who deserve every praise for the way we have started the season. It?s early days yet but I am delighted with the start we have had we are staying focused on each match as it comes along, it?s an old clich? but one I use often. I try to keep the lads feet on the ground and concentrate on one game at a time. The most important game is the next game against Deal tomorrow in the Kent Senior Trophy, nothing else is on my mind until after the game, and then and only then, I shall start thinking about Tuesday.? He spoke about comments that he was not interested in the cup matches: ?I get a bit upset when I hear that we are only interested in the league and the cups don?t matter, yes the league is our number one priority I make no bones about that and we are 100% focused on that, but the cups are just as important; but in a different way. On Tuesday in the group game against Sporting for a number of reasons the side we put out was completely different for the one against Margate. If I could I would have rested Kevin, Gary and Andy and the rest of the lads who did so well against Margate on Saturday they gave their all and I was proud of each and every one of them. People forget we have a big squad at the club and they are all young lads, it?s part of my job to keep them all happy, sure they all want to play in every game, they are all fit young men and playing football is all they want to do.? Seager added: ? As the sponsors Jacetts of Deal, are local where we play tomorrow it will be nice if I receive the award at Deal before the game.? |
