From The Belmont to Barbados: Whitstable Town announce new sponsor?Local Travel Company Brockman?s Travel has agreed to sponsor Whitstable Town with a deal that will benefit both the club and all the local community. The deal, initially for a year, is to bolster Town?s squad?s travel budget: ?It is a great boost for the club,? Whitstable chairman Tony Rouse explained, ?we get a fixed monthly sum to help with the players travel budget, at our level of football the players don?t get wages but with the high cost of traveling to every corner of the county and into London and beyond in the cup games we need every penny to keep the wheels turning. ?On top of the sponsorship, the club will also benefit by way of a donation which will be paid directly to the club for every holiday booked by a Whitstable Fan ? just quote number WT10 when booking at the Herne Bay branch of Brockmans Travel. This deal does not affect the cost of your holiday. see more www.brockmanstravel.co.uk ?In fact,? said Rouse, ?one of our committee booked his holiday within days of hearing about the tie-up with Brockmans Travel, he was very happy not only with the price he paid, but with the personal service you get with an Independent company. Rouse added, ?I would add the football club is very pleased to support Brockman?s Travel which has been established in the local area for over 40 years and we would recommend them without hesitation.? Sarah Lawrance of Brockman?s Travel said, ?We are delighted to be involved with Whitstable Town and hope this is the start of a long-lasting partnership. Brockman?s started in Whitstable in the old Dawson?s Department store so our ties to the town are long established. We differ from the national travel agencies by offering real expertise, individual attention and, like Whitstable Town, remaining part of the local community. As well as offering the full range of package holidays, we believe our customised holidays are the best in the area, whether you want to relax, discover the world or get the adrenalin flowing with extreme sports ? we have it all! My son plays for Town?s Under 14?s youth team, and this link up with Whitstable which is one of the best, if not the best supported, football clubs in the Kent League was too good an opportunity to pass.?
