Whitstable are the new leaders of the Kent League after they defeated local rivals Faversham 1-0 at Salters Lane, the only goal of the game coming from Sam Prett. The win saw the 'Oystermen' keep their 100% record in tact, the match also witnessed the highest attendance this season, 394. VCD came away from Beckenham with a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Dan Edwards and Danny Penny with Ashley Carew replying for the home side.The game was marred by Edwards being stretchered off with a broken ankle.Tunbridge Wells gained their first point of the season after goals from David Blundell and Sam Phillips earned them a 2-2 draw at Erith & Belvedere who replied through Mark Nougher and Leon Braithwaite.Deal won 2-0 at Lordswood with Jason White and Dave Bathgate(penalty) netting.Croydon won 2-1 at Sporting Bengal with Eddie Achoko and Chris Hill on the scoresheet....Full WTFC match report to follow:

Gravesend & Northfleet defeated their neighbours from across the river Grays Athletic 2-0 in the Nationwide Conference at Stonebridge Road with Charlie MacDonald and Mark DeBolla the scorers.This win for the Fleet pushes them up to sixth place in the table.

 

Welling remain in tenth place in Conference South after drawing 0-0 at Eastbourne Borough.Included in the Sussex side were Lee Hook formerly of Whitstable and the former Deal striker Allan Tait.

 

The Ryman League Cup saw six Kent derbies with the pick of the bunch being at Southwood where Ramsgate defeated near neighbours Margate 2-0 thanks to second half goals from Mike Yianni and Shaun Welford.Ashford defeated Bromley 2-0 at Homelands thanks to a goal in each half from Anthony Allman and Richard Sinden.Clive Walker took his Dover side to his former club Chatham, and it was the men from Crabble who ended up victorious with an extra time own goal giving them a 1-0 win.Tonbridge ran out 3-0 winners against Maidstone with Scott Kinch,John Beales and Andy Martin on target for Tony Dolby's side.Cray were 3-1 winners against Whytleafe with the Wands scoring through Junior Baker,Leigh Bremner and Colin Luckett.Dartford and Folkestone were level at 2-2 after 120 minuites of football after Anthony Henry(2) for Dartford and Adam Flanagan and James Everitt likewise for Folkestone had brought the game to a penalty shoot out.Dartford defender Tommy Osborne turned out to be the hero netting the deciding penalty and sending Tony Burman's side through.Sittingbourne slumped to a 4-1 defeat at Croydon Athletic with former Lordswood striker Andy Doerr(pen) on target for the Kent side.
