BANK HOLIDAY REVIEW The Bank Holiday Monday weather failed to dampen the "local derby" fixtures as the crowds turned out to support their teams, three games attracted over 200 spectators. The Premier Division League leaders are Beckenham Town, on goal difference, as they won their early kick off match at Croydon by four goals to nil. Ross Cable struck twice to take his tally to six in four games, Ashley Carew and Ted Hart also netted. The day's best attendance, 367, saw Whitstable Town maintain their 100% record as they beat Herne Bay by the odd goal in three at the Belmont. Steve Marshall netted a brace whilst Simon Brown replied with a consolation goal. Faversham Town moved into third place with a Jason Mills second half goal against Lordswood. Two first half goals from Danny Penney and another from Mark Greatorex saw VCD Athletic move into fifth as they defeated Erith & Belvedere 3-0 at Park View Road. Sevenoaks Town moved up to seventh with a three nil victory at Tunbridge Wells, the bottom side. Erith Town secured their first points of the campaign with a win at Slade Green whilst Deal Town and Hythe Town shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Charles Sports Ground.
