News from the Kent League...F. A. CUP REVIEW
Erith & Belvedere produced an excellent display in the Extra Preliminary Round of the F. A. Cup at Winch's Field as they defeated their hosts, Herne Bay by six goals to one, which saw seven different scorers. An injury time winner from Thamesmead's Pedro Knight saw the South East London side win by the odd goal in seven at Reading Town. Whitstable Town were grateful to Stuart King's second half strike as they were victorious at Guildford City. Slade Green also progressed winning two nil at Sporting Bengal Utd. In the other "all Kent tie", Hythe Town and Lordswood shared four goals, the replay is on Tuesday evening. Erith Town, Deal Town and Croydon were defeated at the first hurdle. The Kent League... Ashley Carew. Faversham Town won their first
game of the season as they defeated
Sevenoaks Town with two goals from Andy
Martin at Salters Lane. After last week's
postponement, VCD Athletic began their
campaign with a victory, thanks to a brace
from Mark Greatorex, at Greenwich Borough.
