Mark Wyvers Kent Football round-up...GRAVESEND & NORTHFLEET completed their
Nationwide Conference season with a 1-0 home defeat by Burton Albion to leave
the Fleet to finish in 16th place.WELLING were held to their 17th Conference South
draw of the season when visiting Bishops Stortford held them to a 0-0
draw.
BROMLEY finished their Ryman Premier Division
fixtures with a 2-1 win at Wealdstone thanks to Adrian Stone who scored
twice.MARGATE came from 2-0 down to defeat Hendon 4-2 at Hartsdown Park with
Danny Hockton(2),Spencer Knight and Lee Protheroe on target.FOLKESTONE earned a
point in a 2-2 draw at Staines with Kevin Watson(pen) and Rob Knott netting for
the Kent side.
RAMSGATE were crowned Ryman Division One champions
despite going down 1-0 at Metropolitan Police.TONBRIDGE had a Phil Cramp goal to
thank for their 1-1 draw at Corinthian Casuals.DOVER defeated Whyteleafe 4-1
with Chris Chase(2),Jimmy Dryden and Craig Wilkins finding the net.CRAY had
goals from Gary Abbott(Pen) and Ross Lover to help them to a 2-1 win over
Banstead.ASHFORD went down 3-1 at home to Molesey with skipper Ian Ross netting
a consolation.
DARTFORD missed out by a point in the play off
chase in the Southern League despite winning 2-0 at Barton Rovers with Anthony
Henry and Brendan Cass scoring.SITTINGBOURNE went down 1-0 at Harlow while
CHATHAM were beaten 2-0 at Wingate & Finchley.
MAIDSTONE completed the League and Cup double after
defeating VCD 4-0 in the Final with Mo Takaloo(2),Mario Celaire and Lyndon
Rowland onh target for the all conquering Stones.
