ImageMark Wyver's Kent league round-up: The Christmas matches started for me on the 21st December when we went to watch Tunbridge Wells entertain Maidstone in the Kent League Cup Group C at the Culverden Stadium with the visitors thanks to Ryan Royston(2) and Mo Takaloo scoring in a 3-0 win.
 
Boxing Day saw some big crowds across the county despite the freezing weather.At Stonebridge Road home side Gravesend & Northfleet conceded two goals in the last three minuites as they went down 3-1 against Dagenham & Redbridge this after top scorer Charlie MacDonald had earlier equalised for the Fleet.  
 
In the Conference South Welling continue to push for promotion after a solitary goal from former Herne Bay player Danny Kedwell gave them a 1-0 win at home to Thurrock.
 
At Hartsdown Park a crowd of 905 saw Margate and Folkestone share the points in a 1-1 darw with the home side takingt the lead through Ian Hilaire only for new signing Walid Matata to salvage a point for the visitors.The other game in the Ryman Premier Division saw Bromley go down 2-1 at home to Worthing.
 
 
The biggest crowd in the county came at Crabble as the Ryman First Division game between Dover and Ramsgate finished 1-1 with Shaun Welford giving the Rams the lead with former Folkestone striker Jimmy Dryden netting the equaliser.A first half goal from Nick Barnes gave Tonbridge a 1-0 win over visiting Cray while Ashford face a relegation battle after they went down 2-0 at Hastings and also had brothers Joby and Joff Thorogood sent off.
 
With a new ground on the horizon Dr Martens Eastern Division side Dartford are also pushing for promotion and their latest success was a 3-1 win at Aveley with Ian Pulman and Ryan Hayes amongst the scorers.The kent derby between Sittingbourne and Chatham ended in a 2-1 for the home side with Keiron Marsh netting the winner from the penalty spot.It was Marsh who had given the Bourne the lead with Brendan Cass equalising for the Chats.
 
Maidstone moved within 3 points of Kent League leaders Beckenham with a 5-0 win at Lordswood thanks to Mo Takaloo(4) and Nathan Paul.The local derby between Herne Bay and Whitstable finished 1-1 with the visitors taking the lead through former Bay man Alex Hossick only for Shaun Brown to level the scores for Herne Bay.Erith & Belvedere move level on points with Whitstable after a 3-2 win at Thamesmead  with Anton Innocent,Carl Bartley and Chris Dickson netting for the Deres with new signing Ricky Cable on target twice for Thamesmead.A debut goal from Sam D Arcy earnt Tunbridge Wells a 1-0 win at Sevenoaks while tennants beat landlords as VCD beat Greenwich Borough 2-0.
