Mark Wyver's KENT Football round-up: Two second half goals condemned Ebbsfleet to a 2-0 defeat at Rushden & Diamonds in the Blue Square South. Liam Daish's side are still looking for their first league win of the new season.
Ryan Martin struck his fourth goal in two games as Welling made it two wins out of two in Blue Square South after a 1-0 win over Braintree Town at Park View Road. Bromley took a lead through Adrian Toppin four minutes before half time before home side Bishops Stortford earned a 1-1 draw with an 89th minute equaliser. A hat-trick from Joel Hughes saw Holmesdale open their Kent League campaign with a 3-2 home victory over Beckenham for whom Lenny Piper (Pen) and Charly Hearn netted. Goals from Ryan Watts and Joseph Ogoo saw Greenwich Borough win 2-1 at Erith with Marcus Cassius netting for the home side. |
