Whitstable Town’s manager speaking after his
side beat Thamesmead 2-1 in their penultimate friendly, they play Dover on
Saturday at the Belmont before Rynmam League action starts away to Chipstead on
the 16th August. “I feel it’s important that we can adapt and play
different a formation, if opposing manager know that Whitstable always play
4-4-2 then it gives them a better chance to set out their game plan. If we have
to change the system during a game then these sorts of games will help us
during the season if we need to try something different. Tonight they had to
change their shape, switched a few players around to try to nullify the formation
we played.”
