Whitstable and Herne Bay unite…There will be a Collection for, Herne Bay’s Rob Lawrence who was injured in the 1-1 draw when Whitstable reserves played Herne Bay reserves  in a pre-season game last Saturday. Herne Bay chairman John Bathurst contacted Whitstable to ask that they be allowed to walk round the ground with a collection bucket during Tuesday nights match at The Belmont for the Bruce Smith Shield on behalf of the young player; “He’s only a young lad just starting work and this is a big blow to him, I am pleased that Whitstable have agreed we can do a collection for Rob, that’s exactly what we would have done.” Bathhust said:
