What is the Syndicate thing? PDF Print E-mail
RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, is a format designed to allow web site content to be easily syndicated (put on another site or program).

The syndicated content can be integrated into other Web sites, or can be viewed by individuals via an assortment of desktop applications ( www.feedreader.com ) .

For example, the BBC.co.uk site can be syndicated, meaning you can add the BBC's latest headlines to your Web site, or view them from a feed reader.
WTFC allows our latest news to be syndicated, so that other websites and users can see our updated content without necessarily visiting the main site.
There are various RSS reading programs/software that can grab our RSS feeds.  Here are some examples:
Newswatcher
Pluck - integrates into IE.
FeedDemon - requires payment.
newzcrawler
Rssbandit
enewsbar.com -this one puts a ticker across your screen.

Some new browsers have rss feed reading capabilities built in.
