VIDEO: Premiership referee Steve Bennett was at The Belmont Ground last night in charge of the South East of England U16’s cup final between Kent and Bedfordshire along with his two young sixteen year old assistant’s Ryan Whitaker and Chris Price.

The Kent side running out 4-0 winners in a very competitive and entertaining game. Steve’s visit to Whitstable shows that his total commitment at every level to football is not only at the higher echelons of the game, last week he was in charge of Newcastle vs Chelsea, this Saturday he is the man in the middle for Wigan vs. Man Utd, but Steve also has time for the youngsters just starting out in the game. When asked about the youngsters coming through into the game, Steve saying: “If you want something hard enough and are prepared to put in the work, like I have over the years, then who knows how far you can go.”
