 The referee decided that the pitch had become
unplayable after the players left the field at half time, citing standing water
as his reason and concerns over the player’s safety. Both manager agreed it was
the right decision...
visiting Ashford Town manager Steve Lovell saying: “Disappointed
that the game was called off but the ref used common sense and it was no real surprise.
Whitstable manager Marc Seager added: “These lads all have to go to work on
Monday morning and it was becoming a bit dangerous, like Steve I’ am disappoint
but its good that both clubs moved quickly to reschedule the game for this coming
Thursday, (17th April) with the score nil-nil at the interval it was the
right thing to do.”
