Town grab another three points... |

Whitstable Town 2 v Walton & Hersham 1...With blustery wind threatening to spoil the game both
sides should take great credit for trying to play football in some very testing
conditions.
Whitstable had the better of the first half, going in at the
interval curtsey of an Ian Pulman goal, but for some stout defending by the visitors
and poor finishing by Town it should have been more. After the interval, despite
being on the back foot for most of the second half they extended their lead
after Dave Corey’s goal, only to concede within less than a minute. The visitors
piled forward, home keeper Kevin Fewell made some great save aided by his
defence; Whitstable just managed to see out the remainder of the game and grab another
valuable three points towards Ryman League survival. Full match report to
