Marcos Perona Whitstable Town captain saying his
young side is finding life in the Ryman League a little easier: “Like most of the
players in our side I have never played at this level before and it’s taken
three quarters of the season to feel comfortable in this league"
Speaking after Whitstable drew 1-1 against Cray Wanderers:  "Like the rest
of the lads we now know we can compete at this level and today’s result show just how
far we have come, as we are disappointed not to have won today. Cray played us
off the park twice this season and today we were in their faces and did not allow
then to settle and play their own game. To feel disappointed not to have taken
all three points against the side I believe is the best we have played against;
shows we have lifted our standards.
