Reserves can go all the way…. PDF Print E-mail
"I really fancy us to go all the way".. On the eve of their semi final away to Tonbridge Angels in the semi-final of the Kent Intermediate Cup.. says Ian Hossick  With the possibility of a final against either Cray or Dartford in the final. Town reserves boss Ian Hossick believes his young side can go all the way.

“We lost a bit of momentum in November and December but we are getting back to how we can play these last few weeks. Over the Christmas period we had no games but the lads were running with me on a Monday night then training hard during the week and when we started playing league games again we were right up to speed.

His assistant Peter Budge added: “I think these young lads deserve to be in a final, they have worked so hard, even though the results have not always gone our way, they always give us 100% and I fully expect us to compete for the whole 90 minutes on Saturday and hopefully at the end of it we will be in the final, that will cap off our season.”

Hossick had the last word: “It’s never easy if a reserves side is run correctly, it means we have to chop and change to accommodate players on the way back from injury or suspension, and cope with losing our emerging talent to the first team. But that’s part of our job and any success for the first team is a reflection on us doing our job in the right way with the reserves.”
