Pictures: Per Laleng: Match report by Mark Wyver: Whitstable Town travelled to Ryman Division One South Play Off hopefuls showing just one change from the midweek defeat at Burgess Hill Town.
Jake Gess returned after his freak injury at the expense of Tom Parker who was relegated to the substitutes bench.

The Reds started at a good tempo, David Cory had an early chance which went wide of the post while Jake Gess had an effort which finished on top of the net.

Picture: Dave Cory scored Towns second goal: After a Dulwich Hamlet corner defender Liam Quin suffered a clash of heads with home player Ryan Bernard. After clambering to his feet after lengthy treatment he was replaced by Steven Lloyd who joined his former Herne Bay teammate Sam Denly in the back four.

The opening goal arrived after 27 minutes when from a clever free kick Danny Tipple received the ball before crossing for Ian Pulman to clinically finish past Sheikh Cessay.

Kevin Fewell thwarted a home equaliser when he saved from former Bristol Rovers player Dwayne Plummer and Steve May and Shayne Mangodza both kept Fewell busy with efforts in the run up to half time.

With a minute left on the clock the hosts did draw level when a ball in from Charlie Taylor was cleared by Clint Gooding only for the ball to rebound off Lloyd back into the path of Taylor who finished well to level matters.

The visitors regained the lead in first half stoppage time when from a goalmouth melee former Deal striker David Cory managed to squeeze the ball over the line to give the men from Kent the half time advantage.

The Hamlet restored parity on 67 minutes when from a defensive clearance Tipple was caught out by the bounce which led to Taylor crossing in for Meshach Nugent who finished superbly.

This goal saw Dulwich up their game with Fewell again being tested which he dealt with admirably. Town then introduced Tommy Martin to the fray at the expense of Nick Bagley and it was the substitute Martin who won the game for Whitstable.
Picture: Per Laleng: Tommy Martin scores 'a goal good enought to win any game of football'.

After being awarded a free kick just outside the  penalty area he stepped up to hit a superb effort over the wall and into the top corner. A goal good enought to win any game of football.

Right at the death Fewell produced a top class save from a Meshach Nugent header and the Town travelling contigent celebrated at the referee's final whistle. A shame the Dulwich Hamlet management maybe need a personality transplant.
