Since I last spoke to you a lot has happened in a short space of time. We've seen our FA.Cup run come to an end with the 2-1 replay defeat away to Fleet Town. Fleet, incidentally, beat Thatcham last Saturday to move into the next round. We bounced back from that defeat, however, to gain our first league victory of the season with a great 3-1 win away to VCD. Last Saturday, with no scheduled league game, we gained a very good 2-1 victory against a strong Dartford side in a friendly. Anyone who was at that match will know that we should have won by a more convincing scoreline.

No midweek KL game PDF Print E-mail
There are no midweek games in the Premier League this week as Tunbridge Wells are now away to Moneyfields in FA Vase replay match, Tunbridge Wells are  away to VCD at the weekend. The team without a game on Saturday is Sevenoaks., Beckenham now play Herne Bayin a rearranged fixture, Deal Town are playing Hitchin at Deal in the FA cup 2nd qualifying round.

Image picture: Peter Budge & Simon Kay: WTFC Reserves 3 Lordswood Reserves 1: Broomfield FC (Bridge) Sat 17th Sept:      All three of Towns goals came via neat headers, two from Jake Guess, and one from new signing Terry Ratchford from a set piece. Town were comfortable at three nil  at the interval when Reserves manager Simon Kay made six changes to give the rest of his lads a run out. Lordswood?s goal, and absolute cracker from 25 yards was small consolation for them as they were second best for most of the game. Town looking towards their league Div 1 clash against Ramsgate on Tuesday night, 7-45 KO:

ImageAn 89th minuite goal from Bobby Bowry earnt Gravesend & Northfleet a 1-1 draw at Hereford in the Nationwide Conference on tuesday night while the kent derby between Bromley and Margate in the Ryman Premier ended 2-2 with the hosts going 2-0 up through Tutu Henriques and Des Boateng only for the visitors to earn a point with goals from Daniel Sacha and Gavin McGowan.In Ryman One over a thousand fans saw Dover beat Cray 2-1 at Crabble with goals from Lee Spiller and Craig Wilkins with Leigh Bremver scoring for the losers.At Southwood goals from Ollie Schulz and Shaun Welford earnt the Rams a 2-1 against Hastings while Ashford got their first win after beating Kingstonian 2-1`at Homelands and Tonbridge won 3-2 at Met Police.In the Southern League Cup Chatham won 1-0 at Datford and despite top scorer Mark Lovell netting for Sittingbourne they went down 2-1 at Barking & East Ham.The Kent League lost a team in the FA Vase as Tunbridge Wells were beaten 5-0 at Moneyfields while in the London Senior Cup Sporting Bengal were beaten 2-1 at Hanwell Town.  

Monday night saw Folkestone gain their first victory in the Ryman Premier Division when an 82nd minute goal from Stuart Myall earned them a 1-0 win at Chelmsford, while in the London Senior Cup Erith made it to the 2nd round after a 2-1 win at home to Ruislip Manor with Danny Hogarth scoring the winning goal.

 Kents top Non League side Gravesend & Northfleet beat Halifax 4-0 in the Nationwide Conference thanks to goals from Ross Smith, Charlie MacDonald, Danny Slatter and Andy Drury(pen) while in Conference South Welling with a goal from Steve Perkins beat Hayes 1-0 at Park View Road.

The counties only winner in the Ryman Premier were Bromley who beat Maldon 2-1 with goals from Fraser Logan and Nic McDonnell while at Hartsdown Park Margate drew 2-2 with Slough and Folkestone went down 3-1 at Hampton & Richmond.
The kent derby in Ryman One saw Tonbridge come from behind to beat Ashford 3-1 with goals from Ray Powell, Luke Piscina and Warren Haughton while Ramsgate beat Molesey 2-0 and Cray were beaten 4-0 at Hastings.
In the Southern League Sittingbourne with goals from Mark Lovell and Dan Edwards won 2-1 at Barking & East Ham while Chatham 1-0 at Barton and Dartford 4-1 at Corby both lost.In the FA Vase all teams were succesful apart from Tunbridge Wells who drew 0-0 with Moneyfields while in the Kent League leaders Beckenham won 3-0 at Sporting Bengal while a Mitch Crawley goal earnt Erith & Belvedere a 3-2 win at Deal.  At Bayliss Avenue home side Thamesmead beat Herne Bay 6-0 and Whitstable beat Slade Green 2-1 with goals from Sam Prett and Marc Seager(pen).
