Deal Town Reserves 0 Whitstable Town Reserves 4 DEADLY MARTIN DESTROYS DEAL WITH 4
Deal Town Reserves 0 Whitstable Town Reserves 4 Kent League ? Division 1
Andy
Martin scored a quite marvellous hat trick inside the first 30 minutes to kill
the game and Deal Town
off in no time. Martin was not finished there though as early in the second
half he scored his fourth goal of the afternoon to make his season total 10
goals in 9 games.
Whitstable
Town Reserves were simply awesome in the first half and every single player put
in a performance that couldn?t be faulted. Manager Simon Kay pointed out before
the game that last weeks first half performance just wasn?t acceptable and
singled Deal Town
out to be the toughest game they would face because of the vast experience that
they had in the side with Gear, Miller and Bosson amongst there ranks, all
previous Whitstable Town
first team players.

Mistakes cost Town...Whitstable Town 1 Andover 3 FA Vase 29th October 2005......Third goal was the killer?.
Picture: Marcos Perona scoere of Towns 45th minute goal: Whitstable manager Marc Seager, with fellow ex Vase winner
Steve Marshall wanted to win through to the next round of the FA Vase as much
as any player on the pitch given that they had climbed those hallowed Wembley
steps to lift the trophy five years ago with Deal Town. Fate however has a funny way of dealing with
such dreams. There were two incidents which eventually shaped the game,
both leading to Andover goals, the first a spilled free kick allowed Andover to
take the lead in almost their first worthwhile attack, the second an attempted
back header which gifted the visitors a second, making Town progress from then
on, an uphill struggle.
