Kent League’s top striker Stuart King signs new contract with Town: PDF Print E-mail

picture: Club secretary Alan Gower with Stuart King: After receiving the Kent League Golden Boot at the end of season presentation night held at The Stanley Ballrooms in Chatham, Whitstable’s young striker 18 year old Stuart King confirmed he will be signing again ready for the clubs first season in the Ryman League. King said: “It’s a new adventure for the club as it’s the first time they have been promoted and one that I am looking forward to after winning the Kent League golden boot.  I now want to test myself at a higher level with Whitstable and prove to myself that I can go even further."

Picture Marc Seager (right) with coach Simon Halsey: Speaking after the Civic Reception hosted by Pat Todd the Lord Mayor of Canterbury to honour Whitstable Towns great season manager Marc Seager told the website:  “It might not have much impact now with some of the younger players but in years to come they will look back on this season and days like this and it will still be with them in years to come. The Lord Mayor was a very gracious host as was his wife Barbara, who is the Lady Mayoress and all his staff and I thank them very much for the way they embraced us all. They made us all feel welcome in a way the put everyone at ease, which is not an easy thing to do.
