Deal Town Reserves 0 Whitstable Town Reserves 4 DEADLY MARTIN DESTROYS DEAL WITH 4
Deal Town Reserves 0 Whitstable Town Reserves 4 Kent League ? Division 1
Andy
Martin scored a quite marvellous hat trick inside the first 30 minutes to kill
the game and Deal Town
off in no time. Martin was not finished there though as early in the second
half he scored his fourth goal of the afternoon to make his season total 10
goals in 9 games.
Whitstable
Town Reserves were simply awesome in the first half and every single player put
in a performance that couldn?t be faulted. Manager Simon Kay pointed out before
the game that last weeks first half performance just wasn?t acceptable and
singled Deal Town
out to be the toughest game they would face because of the vast experience that
they had in the side with Gear, Miller and Bosson amongst there ranks, all
previous Whitstable Town
first team players.

Mistakes cost Town...Whitstable Town 1 Andover 3 FA Vase 29th October 2005......Third goal was the killer?.
Picture: Marcos Perona scoere of Towns 45th minute goal: Whitstable manager Marc Seager, with fellow ex Vase winner
Steve Marshall wanted to win through to the next round of the FA Vase as much
as any player on the pitch given that they had climbed those hallowed Wembley
steps to lift the trophy five years ago with Deal Town. Fate however has a funny way of dealing with
such dreams. There were two incidents which eventually shaped the game,
both leading to Andover goals, the first a spilled free kick allowed Andover to
take the lead in almost their first worthwhile attack, the second an attempted
back header which gifted the visitors a second, making Town progress from then
on, an uphill struggle.

Town
confidence booster? Sevenoaks 1 Whitstable Town 5.
Whitstable knocked in five goals in a great
confidence booster ahead of next weeks FA Vase home tie against Andover. Sam Prett scored the first, Andy Constable
knocked in a couple with player/manager Marc Seager scoring from the spot after
Prett had been pulled back inside the area, Stuart Harrison, much to the
delight of his fellow team-mates finishing off with goal number five for Town.
?I
know we have good players at Whitstable,? said manager Marc Seager: ?the game of football is a simple game that
sometimes the lads make harder than it is. Essentially it?s about confidence and that comes with scoring goals and
winning games, this win has come just at the right time for us, the performance
from the lads today was spot on. Andy Constable worked hard, he knocked in a
couple, had one disallowed and had a hand in a couple of the other goals, but
Andy will be the first to say it?s a team game and all the lads today all
played well. I was very pleased with the work rate and the finishing, which is
what we have lacked these last few weeks.? |

Wayne
Barrett: Wayne has left WTFC by mutual consent after speaking to
Marc Seager, Whitstable?s manager about his prospects at the club. ?Wayne and I
spoke at length, he has been offered a playing/coaching position which he feels
has come at the just right time for him in his football career. He knows we are
building for the future at Whitstable and I was honest with him regarding fist
team selection. Wayne is a really straight bloke and we had a good open
discussion and we have parted on good terms and by mutual constant, He
particularly asked me to thank everyone at the club for making him feel so
welcome in the time he was with us.?
Chairman Tony Rouse added: ?You can see that Wayne is a quality player; I just
wish he had joined the club a few years ago, he goes with the best wishes of
all connected with the club, we hope he has enjoyed his time with us.?
