With Faversham Town's fixture against Deal Town falling foul with the weather there was just one Kent Football League Premier Division game taking place which saw Croydon rise to fifth place in the table as they beat, second placed, VCD Athletic by three goals to one. Unbeaten now in nine League games, Croydon secured their third straight win with a first half hat-trick from Matt Fowler. Heavy rain accounted for three of the Second Round fixtures in the Kent Senior Trophy which will now be re-scheduled, details of the new dates will be published in the Fixtures Page when known. The other five encounters provided a couple of "Cup shocks" as Herne Bay were beaten at West Wickham, the Southern Amateur League side, and Slade Green defeated the League leaders, Thamesmead Town, after a dramatic penalty shoot out. |

The Second Round of the Kent Senior Trophy dominates the weekend action for many Kent Football League clubs and several teams from the Kent County League. The highlight of the round is the match between third placed, Whitstable Town, and the fourth placed side, Greenwich Borough at the Belmont. They have met twice so far this season in the Kent Football League Premier Division Cup and, on both occasions, the honours have been even with two draws. |
