Whitstable Town travel along the M2 to Lordswood Sports Club on Saturday for a regular season match, our hosts find themselves in an unusual situation at the wrong end of the mid-table pack. In an up and down season they have lost nearly half of the nineteen league games played to date, clearly not quite up to last years standard when they beat us 3-2 in the corresponding fixture. |

WHITSTABLE TOWN 2-0 THAMESMEAD TOWN Saturday 13th January 2007
Kent League Premier Division Stephen McCartney reports from The Belmont. Whitstable
Town moved a step nearer of achieving promotion to the Ryman League

“Up until today we’ve played 16 league matches, won 13 and drawn the other three and have 14 games to go to the end of the season so I’m just taking it one game at a time and counting down to the last game at the end of April against Thamesmead, away.” see More |

Match report by Mark Wyver: Whitstable Town travelled to Greenwich Borough on tuesday night for the fourth meeting between the sides this season. On a blustery evening at Harrow Meadow manager Marc Seager again changed his starting line up with Jackson Ohakam and Steve Marshall coming in for Rob Thomas and Andy Constable, The game started with the ball spending a lot of time in the air with both sides struggling to adapt to the conditions. It was the visitors who had the games earliest chances with Jake Gess looking dangerous down the left flank. On one of his runs he crossed only for Marshall's header to bounce down from the crossbar. The home side looked dangerous going forward with Dave Hassett and Meshach Nugent both looking lively. However they didn't really test Kevin Fewell in the Whitstable goal. |

defensive performance in the 15 months since I have been in charge,” Whitstable
manager Marc Seager told the Press after the game, which was played in high
winds which greatly effected the game as a foot-balling spectacle against Greenwich Borough. The
single point enough to take Whitstable above Thamesmead in the league who
they play next at the Belmont on Saturday.
