All at Whitstable Towb FC wish Alan a speedy recovery...Maidstone United’s joint-manager Alan Walker has suffered a freak injury whilst on a training course in Belfast. Walker has been left partially paralysed after freak injury when he went to head the ball whilst attending an Irish FA A Licence coaches course as an observer.

WTFC announce the ticket prices for the new season:
WTFC announce the ticket prices for the new season: "Obviously there are greater costs involved in playing in a higher league and we had to increase ticket prices but I think we have hit right balance with the match day and season ticket prices to watch Ryman League football at the Belmont. A family of two adults and two children for example will pay just under £11 per match, which we think is great value to watch good local football."

Mark Wyver with all the Kent Football news
Kent Football..with Mark Wyver..Dover have appointed former Gillingham Player/Manager Andy Hessenthaler as their new man in charge. The Ryman Division One side have signed him on a two year contract. Former Whitstable defender Tony Browne has left Dover to join up with his former manager Clive Walker at Ashford. Defender Nick Humphrey and midfielder Lee Spiller are also making the same move as Browne.

Kent League’s top striker Stuart King signs new contract with Town:

picture: Club secretary Alan Gower with Stuart King: After receiving the Kent League Golden Boot at the end of season presentation night held at The Stanley Ballrooms in Chatham, Whitstable’s young striker 18 year old Stuart King confirmed he will be signing again ready for the clubs first season in the Ryman League. King said: “It’s a new adventure for the club as it’s the first time they have been promoted and one that I am looking forward to after winning the Kent League golden boot.  I now want to test myself at a higher level with Whitstable and prove to myself that I can go even further."

UP-DATED...Transfers, appointments..all the Kent Football News with Mark Wyver
by Mark Wyver... Ebbsfleet defender Rob Quinn who was released at the end of the season has joined AFC Wimbledon. Welling have appointed former Millwall defender Stuart Nethercott as their new assistant manager at Park View Road, whilst defender Ben Lewis has left the Wings to join Maidstone. Tonbridge have swooped to make their second signing after capturing defender James Donovan from Margate. Former Sittingbourne defender Jamie Coyle has joined Dartford from Dulwich Hamlet. Kent League runners up VCD have appointed Paul Foley as their new manager in succesion to Martin Ford who resigned near the end of last season.
Three Kent sides have appointed new managers for the forthcoming season. Welling have named former Gillingham midfielder Neil Smith as their new man in charge after the departure of Adrian Pennock to a coaching role at Stoke City. After being sacked by Dover after failing to make the Ryman League Play Offs Clive Walker has landed the job at league rivals Ashford. Kent League side Lordswood have named the former Chatham and Herne Bay midfielder Shaun Mitchell as their new man at the helm.

‘They will remember this,’ says Seager
Picture Marc Seager (right) with coach Simon Halsey: Speaking after the Civic Reception hosted by Pat Todd the Lord Mayor of Canterbury to honour Whitstable Towns great season manager Marc Seager told the website:  “It might not have much impact now with some of the younger players but in years to come they will look back on this season and days like this and it will still be with them in years to come. The Lord Mayor was a very gracious host as was his wife Barbara, who is the Lady Mayoress and all his staff and I thank them very much for the way they embraced us all. They made us all feel welcome in a way the put everyone at ease, which is not an easy thing to do.

Lord Mayor of Canterbury invites Whitstable Town to civic reception.
The Lord Mayor of Canterbury Pat Todd  has invited player’s, management and officials of the club to a civic reception in Canterbury on Monday the 14th May to honour Whitstable’s great season. Manager Marc Seager speaking when he heard the new express his delight at the recognition his young side have received since winning promotion to the Ryman League and lifting the Kent Senior Trophy.
