Whitstable Town 4 Corinthian Casuals2
Whitstable Town eased their relegation worries wih a 4-2 win over Corinthian Casuals at Belmont Road on Saturday. Marc Seager introduced new signing David Cory to play alongside Ian Pulman in attack while Tommy Martin was brought back in to replace the injured Sam Denly in midfield.

Chairman: sole aim is to maintain our Ryman status
WHITSTABLE TOWN chairman Tony Rouse confident the club will maintain it’s Ryman League status at the end of this season, writes Stephen McCartney. “There’s obviously been some concern because we’ve gone four games without a win and after going 23 (Kent League) games unbeaten last season I think it’s been a difficult time for the supporters’ adjusting to the situation we find ourselves in,” Mr Rouse said EXCLUSIVELY to www.kentishfootball.co.uk.

Whitstable Town 4 vs Corinthian Casuals 2: Whitstable took a deserved 2-0 at the interval with goals from Ian Pullman pulled down by the keeper; (penalty) and new signing Dave Cory netting on in his first game for Town.

VIDEO: Pictures: left  Ian Pulman, right Dave Cory: Town players Ian Pulman and new signing Dave Cory with a couple from Ian Pullman and Cory scoring in his first game for Town in the 4-2 win against Corinthian Casuals at the Belmont. Both players saying they were delighted to be on target for Town and looking forward to the next game. Pulman who had flu during the week and was unable to train said he should have scored four instead of the couple he netted.

After the expected overnight rain missed our area and an inspection by the match referee he decided the game will go ahead. The only areas of concern are one of the touchlines and one goalmouth which he said he was happy to have sanded, so it’s GAME ON… spread the word and lets see as many supporters at the Belmont as we can to support the team
