Whitstable Town FC hosted a charity day at the Belmont on Sunday 23rd October in aid of the football club and Demelza House children’s hospice.
There were two matches played featuring Whitstable Town Junior Football Club. The Under 8s played a team from Rising Stars Youth FC and the Under 10 colts challenged Tyler Hill Youth FC.
Afterwards an adult game featured teams formed by High Street favourites The Ship Centurion pub and Jim’s Family Butchers. The game was played in good spirits and plenty of well-deserved drinks were taken in the bar afterwards. The final score on this game was 5-1 to The Ship.
Fortunately the weather was very kind and the event raised £600 from donations by generous players and spectators.
Thank you very much to everyone who helped to organise the day and to all who played, attended and donated.
