Town loose out in poor game: Whitstable threw away three points against local neighbours Faversham Town after a very poor game of football watched by nearly 300 supporters.  Just what game plan Faversham’s management set out was hard to fathom except to  kick the ball high and long any time it was in play. The ball spent more time in the air and out of play than it did on the pitch. But, and here’s the rub, Faversham went home with all three points, having amassed seven already in the league to Whitstable none. It does make you wonder if its football to be watched as a spectacle and enjoyed or points…. no matter how they are amassed is the correct way.  The end result was that Faversham won 1-0 after a hotly disputed penalty; the looser was football after Whitstable revered to type and played to the same level as the visitors.
