After the rush back from holiday and the disappointing result against Faversham; Whitstable manager Mark Lane was looking forward to the away trip to Horsham YM. “They are always a tough side to play against and we will prepare in the right way and be looking for a positive result, “said Lane: “We have a couple of players who are doubtful for the trip, they were both suffering after taking knocks on Saturday. But on a positive note I have players chomping at the bit to pull on the red shirt and that’s the reason for having the twenty or so players involved this year. A few of the lads will be playing for the reserves tonight (Wednesday) and Clint and myself will be there to watch the game. If we play as I know we can and show the passion and desire to do well for the club I have no doubt that we will have a better season than last, but the players must work and take what we do in training into the game,” WTFC (c) Tony Rouse
