Whitstable went two nil ahead after fifteen minutes, goals from Dave Soutan and Ian Pulman set Town on their way. The game was level at the interval the home side scoring two goals in quick succession; the game ended with both sides settling for a point. Match report to follow:

Mark speaking after the 1-0 win at the Belmont against East Grinstead, Gareth Cornhill named the MOM, Ian Pulman scored the game’s only goal. He made changes to the line-up, Stephen Lloyd who played alongside Lois Smith was added to the squad. Skipper Sam Denley played in midfield with Lane’s assistant Clint Gooding.

Friday 10th September Herne Bay 2 v Whitstable Town 1 (result) in the First Division: Reserves manager Dave Furlough’s was hoping his young side continue their good start to the season, Herne Bay playing a number of first team players came out on top, Bay have no first team match on Saturday.
