After the rush back from holiday and the disappointing result against Faversham; Whitstable manager Mark Lane was looking forward to the away trip to Horsham YM. “They are always a tough side to play against and we will prepare in the right way and be looking for a positive result, “said Lane:

Town loose out in poor game: Whitstable threw away three points against local neighbours Faversham Town after a very poor game of football watched by nearly 300 supporters.  Just what game plan Faversham’s management set out was hard to fathom except to  kick the ball high and long any time it was in play.

Whitstable Town Reserves opened their Kent League Division 1 campaign with an emphatic away win at Thamesmead Town Reserves on Saturday.

TOM PARKER scored the fastest goal of the new Ryman League season when his second-minute free-kick found its way into the Godalming net to give Whitstable the lead. Whether it was the FIRST goal of the season will never be known;

Town fluff their lines… After early pre-season promise when manager Mark Lane cautioned supporters and players not to get too carried away after some good performances.  Lane’s words had ring of truth as Town squandered a first minute lead within five minutes of Tom Parker scoring with a looping cross fumbled by the visiting keeper
